Callingly vs CalLeads AI: Calling New Web Leads, Warm Transfer and Pricing

A qualified lead fills out your form at 2 PM, while your team is open and has an agent free. A few minutes later on Callingly, that lead is on the phone with one of your agents. On CalLeads AI, the lead hangs up with an appointment on your calendar. If your agents close on the first conversation, that live handoff is the reason to pick Callingly.

The same qualified lead Callingly CalLeads AI
2 PM, your team is open The AI Agent calls within seconds, asks your questions, then rings your available agents and warm-transfers the lead to the first one who accepts. The AI calls in under 5 seconds, qualifies the lead and books an appointment in Calendly, Google Calendar or HubSpot meetings. It transfers live when the lead is highly qualified or asks for a person.
2 PM, nobody picks up the transfer The next group of agents rings, then your fallback team. If no one answers, the AI offers the lead a callback at a time they pick, and calls back then. The appointment is the default outcome.
After your team closes With after-hours calling on, the AI calls leads who come in between 8 AM and 9 PM their time, qualifies them and offers a callback at a time they pick. By default, everyone else is called when your team next opens. The AI calls 24/7 and books an appointment.

How does Callingly warm-transfer a qualified lead to a sales rep?

A warm transfer is the whole point of Callingly: the AI warms the lead up, you close.

Once the AI Agent has asked your qualifying questions, Callingly rings the available agents in your first priority group at the same time, up to a set limit. The first agent to accept takes the call. Agents who answer on a phone line hear a short briefing first: the lead's name, where the lead came from, its category and the most useful thing the lead said. Then the AI tells the lead who's joining, and the two of them are talking.

An example briefing card. Before the lead is connected, the agent who accepted the transfer hears four things: the lead's name, the lead source, the lead's category and the most useful thing the lead said to the AI Agent. The example lead is Dana, from a Zillow inquiry, a buyer, who said she is pre-approved and wants to see the house this Saturday. What your agent hears before the lead connects INCOMING TRANSFER FROM THE AI AGENT Name Dana Source Zillow inquiry Category Buyer Lead said "Pre-approved, wants to see it Saturday" Then the AI introduces the agent, and the lead is on the line.
An example lead. Agents who take transfers on a phone line hear the briefing; agents in the app don't.

A lead who hangs up while the transfer is ringing isn't dropped. In most cases Callingly schedules a retry a few minutes later, and this time your agents make the call, not the AI.

When nobody can take a transfer, the lead chooses what happens next. They can ask to be called back as soon as possible, and Callingly rings your team first and calls the lead the moment an agent accepts. Or they pick a time, and the AI calls them back then.

Does Callingly automatically call new web leads within seconds?

Yes. On every account that's signed up directly since September 26, 2026, the AI Agent calls each new lead within seconds of the lead reaching Callingly, while your team is open and has an agent free, and it can text the lead in the same sequence. It makes no difference whether the lead came from your CRM, an email integration, Zapier or the API.

That isn't the Callingly that CalLeads AI describes. Its comparison page, updated October 28, 2026, says "Callingly routes leads to human reps" and that "the actual conversation is human-to-human." That's our older dispatch flow: it rings a rep first, and the rep presses 1 to be connected to the lead. Teams that set up Callingly earlier still run the flow they chose.

The same page lists Callingly's call transcripts as "No." With call recording on, every AI call keeps its recording and a transcript on the call page, labelled by speaker: the AI, the lead and the agent who took the transfer. The recording of your agent's call goes to your CRM.

Does Callingly follow up with a lead by call and text until they answer?

Yes, until they answer or your sequence runs out. You build the sequence: how many calls, how far apart, and which texts go with them. Callingly runs it on your team's schedule and on the lead's clock, since calls and automated texts to US and Canadian leads only go out between 8 AM and 9 PM in the lead's time zone.

The texts are switches in that same sequence. One can go out the moment a lead arrives, with a different message for leads who come in after hours. Another can follow when your team doesn't pick up, and another after each call the lead misses. A step can also send a text right before its call, so the lead knows who's about to ring. Every text can carry the lead's name, the sender, the lead owner or your own custom fields.

On new accounts, the AI calls from your team's number closest to the lead's area code, and when that number can text, the texts come from it too. The lead sees one local number, not two strangers.

Missed calls don't run up the bill. An AI call that rings out or hits a busy line costs nothing, so a five-call sequence only charges for the calls a lead or their voicemail actually picked up.

Once the lead has talked to the AI, the chasing stops. A lead who hangs up before a transfer is marked contacted and the rest of their sequence is cancelled.

Which CRMs and lead sources do Callingly and CalLeads AI connect to?

Mostly the same ones. Both connect to HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, GoHighLevel, Zoho, Facebook Lead Ads, Zapier and webhooks. Callingly's integrations also include Follow Up Boss and Lofty natively, where it calls new leads whose source matches a routing rule you set. Leads that only arrive by email, like many portal notifications, can come in through Callingly's email integration, which starts calling within a few minutes of the email.

What does Callingly cost, and does the free trial need a credit card?

Callingly publishes its price: plans start at $100 a month, and the 14-day free trial doesn't ask for a credit card. CalLeads AI doesn't publish one. Its site asks you to book a discovery call.

On the Starter plan, that $100 is usage credit. An AI call costs $0.50 when it's answered, by the lead or by voicemail. A text costs $0.12 per segment, and usage past the credit is billed at the same rates. Every user on your team is included, and phone numbers are $5 a month each.

Four ways an AI call to a lead can end, and what each costs on Callingly's Starter plan. Answered by the lead: $0.50. Answered by voicemail: $0.50. Rang out with no answer: $0. Busy: $0. Every user is included at no extra cost. What an AI call costs on Starter, by how it ends Lead answers $0.50 Voicemail $0.50 Rings out $0 Busy $0 Texts $0.12 a segment. Every user included.

CalLeads AI's comparison sums up Callingly's cost as "platform fee + rep costs." The AI Agent makes the first call, your agents only pick up the transfers they'd want anyway, and on accounts that signed up directly since September 26, the talk time on those transfers is included.

If you want to hear the transfer for yourself, start the free trial and send a test lead to your own phone.
