How many new leads does your team get a month? Unless the answer is well into the thousands, a Synthflow contract is the expensive way to call them. Synthflow now sells only Enterprise contracts, starting at $30,000 a year. That's $2,500 a month, about what Callingly would bill to call 3,500 new leads a month, twice each.
Below that volume, your real choice is a product you pay for by the call or a voice platform you build on yourself. Callingly is the product. It calls each new web lead within seconds while your team is open, asks your qualifying questions and puts the live lead through to a rep who's free. On our platform, 51.3% of leads get their first call in under 30 seconds (April 2026). Plans start at $100 a month, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card.
Synthflow warm transfer and lead qualification vs Callingly
Synthflow's AI can qualify a caller and hand the call to a person three ways: a cold transfer, a warm transfer with a short whisper message (a private word to the rep before the lead joins), or a warm transfer with an AI summary of the call.
Each warm transfer is a new outbound call. Synthflow says every attempt "counts against your account's CAPS limit," its cap on how many calls you can start per second, and that on outbound campaigns with many transfers "this can slow down new campaign calls." In a speed-to-lead flow, every good lead ends in a transfer. Bring your own Twilio account and there's another catch: most of those accounts "cannot show the original caller's number on a phone number transfer, and the transfer fails when they try."
Then there's who gets the call. A Synthflow transfer goes to one number, to a phone book of up to 50 numbers that the AI agent picks from by conditions you write, or to a number looked up during the call. Backups are tried in priority order. Ringing whichever rep happens to be free is something you'd build as a custom action.
Callingly finds the free rep for you. In a warm transfer, once the AI has asked your qualifying questions, it rings the available reps in your first priority group at the same time, up to a set limit (the lead owner first, if your routing says so), and connects whoever picks up. A rep who takes it on their phone can hear a short briefing before the lead joins. Nobody in the first group answers? The next group rings, then your fallback team. Still nobody? The AI offers the lead a callback at a time they choose.
Synthflow vs Callingly for instant inbound web lead callback
| Synthflow (from its docs) | Callingly | |
|---|---|---|
| When calls go out | The agent's working hours, in the agent's time zone. A call placed while it's closed "fails on the spot" instead of waiting | Your team's hours, and 8 AM to 9 PM in the lead's time zone (read from their phone number by default) for US and Canadian leads. A call outside them waits for the next time that fits both, with the "Wait until next business hours" step on, as it is by default |
| Nobody answers | No retry setting is described in Synthflow's docs | Your call and text sequence keeps trying on the schedule you set |
| Texting the lead | In-call and post-call texts through Twilio (in-call needs your own connected Twilio account) | Texts in the same sequence when you add them: when the lead arrives, after a missed call or right before a call |
Turnkey AI voice agent for sales teams vs a Synthflow Enterprise contract
What you can still buy from Synthflow depends on where you're starting:
- On an older Pro, Growth or Agency plan? Synthflow says those plans "are no longer sold, and existing workspaces keep their limits."
- New buyer? Enterprise is the only option on Synthflow's pricing page, set up with its sales team around your call volume, phone setup, integrations and support.
- Agency that resold Synthflow? In-product reselling through Stripe ended on September 15, 2026, and Synthflow says "customer subscriptions that relied on this feature no longer work."
Here's what Callingly would bill by lead volume, at about two AI calls per new lead:
| New leads a month | AI calls (2 per lead) | Lowest-cost Callingly plan | Callingly monthly bill |
|---|---|---|---|
| 200 | 400 | Starter ($0.50 per AI call) | $200 |
| 500 | 1,000 | Growth ($0.45) | $450 |
| 1,000 | 2,000 | Scale ($0.40) | $800 |
| 2,500 | 5,000 | Scale ($0.40) or Business ($0.35) | $2,000 |
| 3,500 | 7,000 | Business ($0.35) | $2,450 |
Each plan's price is a monthly usage credit, and calls past it bill at the same rate. An AI call bills once, when it reaches the lead or their voicemail; calls that ring out or hit a busy line are free, so your real bill can come in under the table. Phone numbers ($5 a month each) and texts are left out on both sides, and $2,500 is Synthflow's floor, not a quote for these volumes.
Say you run an insurance agency buying 400 internet leads a month. Two calls each is 800 AI calls: $360 on Growth. If your leads need three calls each, Callingly reaches $2,500 at about 2,400 leads a month. Above that, Synthflow's price is whatever its sales team quotes for your volume. Every current plan includes unlimited users and unlimited leads, and on accounts that signed up directly since September 26, 2026, talk time is included, even the transfer to your rep. Our full rates are on the pricing page.
AI voice agent for insurance agency lead follow-up: one lead, start to finish
Someone fills out a quote form at 6:40 PM on a Tuesday, and your vendor or CRM passes the lead to Callingly.
The AI calls within seconds, from your team's number closest to the lead's area code. It asks the questions you wrote, such as what they're insuring and when their current policy renews. The lead's ready to talk, so the AI puts them through to the first of your agents who picks up, and your agent starts the quote while the lead is still on the line.
If the lead doesn't pick up, your sequence takes over: a text after the missed call, if you've added one, and the next call on your schedule.
With recording on, the AI call keeps its recording and a transcript labelled by speaker. Your CRM gets the agent's call with its recording link.
Retell AI, Vapi and Bland AI: the build-it-yourself Synthflow alternatives
Retell AI, Vapi and Bland AI are the build-it-yourself route: you pay by the minute and assemble the lead-calling flow around the agent. Retell lists $0.07 to $0.31 a minute, Vapi charges $0.05 a minute for hosting before the model and voice, and Bland's Start plan is $0.14 a minute. Check the one feature you came for, too: Bland's docs say warm transfer "requires an enterprise account." If the flow you need is "call the new lead, qualify, hand to a rep," skip the build.
Synthflow HubSpot and Salesforce integration for inbound leads
Synthflow lists three CRM integrations: GoHighLevel, Salesforce and HubSpot. Running a real estate team on Follow Up Boss? It isn't on the list. In HubSpot, a workflow action starts an outbound call when a HubSpot event fires. GoHighLevel, Zapier, another automation tool or your own code through Synthflow's API can start calls too.
Callingly connects natively to HubSpot, Salesforce, Follow Up Boss, Pipedrive, CINC, Lofty, GoHighLevel, Zoho and more, plus Zapier, webhooks, email and the API for lead sources without a native connection. See the full list on our integrations page.
Does Callingly book appointments?
It books callbacks, not calendar slots. For a lead who filled out your form a minute ago, the best appointment is the one happening now: a rep on the line while they're still there. The callback is for when nobody's free: the lead picks a time, the AI checks it against your team's hours and places that call itself.
