Networx leads: shared, exclusive, and who calls the homeowner

Networx sells home-improvement leads to contractors in 132 trade categories, paid per lead from a prepaid budget. A shared lead goes out by text and email to as many as four contractors. An exclusive one is yours alone and costs about twice as much, and Networx tries to call that homeowner and transfer them to you during its business hours.

The only call to a Networx homeowner you can count on is the one your business makes. Networx leaves shared leads for you to call, and on exclusive ones it only tries, in business hours. So we’d have the AI Agent call every Networx lead the moment it reaches Callingly, during your call hours, whichever plan it came from.

On a shared lead, calling the homeowner is on you

On Networx’s most popular plan, each lead is shared with up to three other contractors, and you all get the same text and email at once. Networx tells you to “call them quickly”, and its help center says homeowners are often reaching out to multiple professionals. That’s the whole plan: Networx hands out the lead, and its help center says following up with the homeowner is your responsibility.

Exclusive takes the other contractors out of it, at roughly twice the price. Here’s what Networx’s shared and exclusive price lists charge per lead in six common trades:

Trade Shared lead Exclusive lead
HVAC service and repair $24–$47 $50–$91
Plumbing $25–$71 $53–$137
Electrical $24–$54 $46–$105
Roof repair (shingle and wood) $36–$44 $76–$84
House cleaning $20–$28 $50–$58
Handyman $14–$33 $29–$63

Price per lead, October 2026. Sales tax is added where it applies.

If you’ve seen a “flat monthly fee” or “$15 to $120+” quoted for Exclusive, that’s out of date. Both plans are prepaid per lead now, and the exclusive list runs higher.

On Exclusive, Networx calls when it can, in business hours only

Networx says that during business hours it “will try to call as many leads as possible” to check the homeowner’s request and “attempt to transfer the lead to you as a direct phone call.” Networx still texts and emails you every exclusive lead, so it can go to Callingly like any other.

“Will try” and “as many as possible” aren’t a promise that your lead gets a call. We’d have the AI Agent call your exclusive leads too, every time. If Networx does put a homeowner through to you, they may hear from your business twice. That’s a small cost next to the other mistake: paying exclusive prices for a lead nobody called. Outside Networx’s business hours, the AI Agent is the only one calling, if your settings let it.

Night and weekend leads depend on one setting in Networx and two in Callingly

In Networx, under Plan Details, then Plan Settings, you can turn leads at night or on weekends on or off. You can turn off out-of-state leads there too. On a shared plan, a lead that comes in at 10 PM goes out in real time to each contractor on it who has night leads on.

In Callingly, two settings decide when the AI Agent calls. First, your team’s call hours: inside them, it calls as soon as the lead arrives. Second, the sequence’s Outside Business Hours branch: add an AI call there and it can call leads that come in after hours too. Either way, calls go out only between 8 AM and 9 PM in the lead’s time zone (from their phone number, unless you’ve set Callingly to use your account’s time zone). With the sequence’s “Wait until next business hours” step on, a lead after 9 PM waits and the call goes out at the next time that fits both your call hours and the lead’s window.

So here’s what we’d do. Keep night and weekend leads on in Networx if you add the after-hours AI call or your team’s call hours include weekends. Weekend daytime is where this pays off most, because the AI Agent can call a Saturday afternoon lead right away, whether or not Networx’s business-hours call happens. If you won’t do either, turn weekends off. Otherwise you’re paying for Saturday leads that sit until Monday. More in our guide to after-hours home services leads.

Send Networx leads to the AI Agent through Zapier

Networx leads reach Callingly through Zapier, which lists a Networx app with a “New Lead” trigger. There’s no ready-made Networx-to-Callingly template, so you’ll build the Zap yourself. It takes four steps:

  1. In Zapier, start a Zap with the Networx app’s “New Lead” trigger. Zapier lists it as instant, so the Zap runs when Networx sends a lead.
  2. Add Callingly’s “Call Lead” action and pick the team that should get your Networx leads.
  3. Map the homeowner’s phone number from the Networx lead into the Phone Number field. Callingly can’t call a lead without one.
  4. Turn the Zap on. When your first Networx lead comes through, open it in Callingly and check the phone number is there.

What happens on the call

The AI Agent calls the homeowner, and it can text in the same sequence. It asks your questions and warm-transfers the live homeowner to the available reps in your first priority group. If nobody there picks up, it tries the next group, then offers a callback at a time the homeowner picks. If the homeowner doesn’t answer, the followup sequence keeps calling and texting until the sequence ends. A fast call won’t turn a weak lead into a job. It makes sure a good one hears from you.

The same setup works for the rest of your home services lead flow. Buying from Angi too? Its leads reach Callingly differently: see Angi leads.

Networx lead questions

How much do contractors pay for Networx leads?

On Networx’s current lists, a shared lead runs from $14 (handyman) to $104 (fire and flood restoration), and an exclusive lead from $29 to $200, depending on the trade. Both come out of a prepaid budget that renews when it runs out.

Can I get credit for a bad Networx lead?

Yes, for some problems. Networx gives credit for a disconnected number or fake contact details, a service or area you didn’t sign up for, a duplicate of another Networx lead, someone with no permission to hire, and someone looking for a job. Log into your account, find the lead, click Report Lead, pick a reason and add a short note. Networx reviews it and emails you if the credit is approved, and its reviews are final. There’s no credit when the homeowner already found someone, changed their mind or was just shopping, when you didn’t win the job, or when you report more than 14 days after the lead came in.
